Sir Isaac Newton attending according to Order is called in & gives my Lords an Account of the progress made in Coyning Copper farthings & halfe pence, he says six tons of Halfepence have already been issued out of the Mint.

My Lords ask him what preparations have been made in order to coin 14 Guineas, paurusant to the Directions of the late Lords of the Treary, he answers that the Dyes & puncheons are ready but that a power under the Great Seal or by his Maties. proclamation is wanting to Authorize him to coyn the same

My Lords admonish him to hasten the passing of the Indenture for Coyning Gold & Silver
